Tech-driven rally The S&P 500 and the NASDAQ posted big weekly gains and snapped a three-week string of declines as strong earnings from technology companies helped offset disappointment over the latest economic and inflation reports. The NASDAQ finished more than 4% higher for the week while the S&P 500 was up nearly 3%; the Dow lagged, posting a fractional gain.
